ABS-Lock® III
Permanent Stainless Steel Anchorage Point (patent-protected)

The ABS-Lock® III system was developed to provide a secure single anchorage point for up to 3 individuals simultaneously.

The system is licensed and CE-tested in accordance with DIN EN 795 as a class A, B and C anchorage point. Being manufactured completely from 1.4301 stainless steel protects the device from weather-related damage, such as corrosion. The Lock III can be installed in a variety of ways - on a number of different surfaces.

Implementation:
The ABS-Lock® III anchorage point is licensed for installation on steel (e.g. steel girders), in concrete (also cracked), for attachment to or through wood constructions (load-bearing beams) and for reinforced concrete suspended ceilings.

Due to the many different installation options, we produce our anchorage points, which come with corresponding mounting accessories, in various different lengths. Lengths of up to 1000 mm are available. The ABS-Lock® III is fitted with an anchor eyelet. For usage as an intermediate bracket in an ABS-Lock® SYS series traversable cabling system we supply a matching intermediate cable bracket.

Installation principle:

Overhead installation or in a wall (with or without projection)

Installation in concrete using an integrated nail plug or screwed on expansion dowel

Screwed directly into a wooden beam or through it, countering accordingly

Laterally attached to the beam using an angular plate or welded on base plate

Installation on a steel construction (struts, brackets, girders etc.)
Installation of an additional supporting tube to act as an end or corner support in a cabling system

Mounting options for different surfaces:
(please refer to the Installation and User Manual for detailed descriptions)

Steel: ABS-Lock® III-ST
If the Lock III is to be attached to a steel girder, this is done by simply bolting it in place in a pre-drilled bore hole using 1 special nut, 1 counter nut and 1 spring washer.

Concrete: ABS-Lock® III-B and -BE
Installation on a flat concrete roof can either be done using a two-component adhesive or by simply hammering it in using the Lock III-BE's special integrated nail plug. Masonry or cladding requires the use of 2-component adhesive.

Wood: ABS-Lock® III-H, -HW, -SEITL and -TSEIT
For wooden beam installation you can either screw the device directly into the (pre-drilled) beam using a rough wood thread, screw it right through the beam - countering accordingly, or mount it laterally using a lateral mounting plate.

Reinforced concrete suspended ceilings: ABS-Lock® III-HD
When installing the Lock III in a reinforced concrete suspended ceiling a special mesh sleeve is used for the 2-component adhesive. Even in a worst-case scenario where the Lock III is positioned directly in the cavity it remains tight and secure.

Exceptional advantages:

  • The ABS-Lock® III-BE is installed using its integrated drive-in dowel. The total installation time required per anchorage point - including drilling - is under 2 minutes!
  • Ring eyelet allows you to hook up your protective equipment quickly.
  • Can be used in combination with ABS-Lock® SYS cabling systems.
  • Force-absorbing supports which buckle under the stress of a fall and absorb the ensuing force.
  • Various thread lengths depending on the surface and type of installation.
