ABS-Lock® X
Fixed Stainless Steel Anchorage Point with Base Plate - Sandwich Panel

The ABS-Lock® X system was developed to provide a secure single anchorage point for individuals.

The system is licensed and CE-tested as an anchorage point in accordance with DIN EN 795, classes A, B and C as an end post for cabling systems. Being manufactured completely from stainless steel 1.4301 protects it from corrosion. The Lock X is available with various base plates suitable for a variety of surfaces so it can be used almost anywhere. The system is available in lengths of up to 1000 mm. If the Lock X is mounted as either an end or corner support of a cabling system then an additional supporting rod is used. In cabling systems where the supports need to have a height of 300 mm or more the Lock X/SR, consisting of a 42 mm stainless steel rod, is used.

Mounting Options

Doweled / Cemented into concrete (at least B25)
Clamped - mounted from above Clamped to a beam, steel girder, lightweight concrete Welded to a steel girder

Screwed to a steel girder

Screwed into wooden paneling, base plate with 28 bores (for 24mm paneling and upwards)

Screwed into wooden rafters, no base plate

Screwed into wooden rafters with topside paneling

ABS-Lock X-SR - Reinforced Support

The ABS-Lock X-SR is a reinforced variant of the ABS-Lock X. The Lock X-SR’s stainless steel rod is 42mm in diameter and welded to the base plate, thus providing a stable end and corner support for cabling systems, such as the ABS-Lock SYS systems. Its variable base plate means it can be mounted on a large number of different surfaces.

Stainless Steel Anchorage Point for Trapezoidal/Sandwich Sheeting

The Lock X for trapezoidal sheeting and sandwich elements was specially developed to cut out the long-winded process of mounting on the substructure of the trapezoidal roof sheeting. Due to its special foot plate it can be mounted on nearly all common trapezoidal sheeting. Even in cases where the insulation material is lying on top of the trapezoidal sheeting this system can be implemented because of its special spacer screws. The system is licensed and tested for materials with a thickness of 0.5 mm or more.

Mounting to the trapezoidal sheeting or sandwich element is actually done using a special mounting kit consisting of 4 toggle bolts and sealant material. Each Lock X only takes between 5 to 10 minutes to mount as a result.

Mounting is simply done by drilling a hole through the trapezoidal roof sheeting. The toggle bolt is then inserted into the hole and screwed tight. Integrated rubber seals ensure that the hole is watertight and that the Lock X is thermally isolated.

The Lock X is designed to buckle under the stress of a fall to absorb the ensuing bulk of the force and is licensed for materials with as little as 0.5 mm thickness.
