5.2 Roofs with an inclination which is < 20°
5.2.1
On smooth surfaces with an inclination of 5°-20° anti-slip devices must be installed.
EXCEPT: Where anchorage devices are installed!!!
Fall arrest devices can be dispensed with if
- the place of work or general walkway is more than 2 m away from the edge or surface which is incapable of supporting weight
- the drop to the next surface capable of supporting weight is < 1 m
5.2.3
Fall arrest devices to prevent falls at the outermost edge of the building can be dispensed with if
- the possible drop in the case of a fall is no greater than 3.00m
5.3 Roofs with an inclination which is > 20°
5.3.1
On roofs with an inclination of >20° and <75° safety roof hooks have to be installed in accordance with DIN EN 517.
5.3.3
Fall arrest devices can be dispensed with if
- the eaves are no higher than 3.00m
6.2 Fall Prevention Measures (when working on a building frontage)
6.2.1
When working on or traveling along building frontages fall prevention devices are required if the drop in the case of a fall is more than 1.00m.
6.3 Fall arrest devices can be dispensed with if
- the parts of the building which are to be cleaned are no higher than 5.00m above an adequately wide surface capable of supporting the respective weight
